Last Friday Team Tui had Athletics/House Day, During House Day we did activities such as Shot put, High Jump, Long Jump, Discus & Sprints. We also had sausage sizzles, Drinks & Ice Blocks & It was soooooo DELICOUS ! My favourite activities were Shotput & High Jump but overall I liked all of it. My highlights for that day was eating the food & doing the activites. In the Last Block we had relays & Sprints with houses that had to compete against each other and to see who won.
This Friday morning Island Breeze was invited to our school today to perform their dances for us Glen Taylor Students & Teachers. When they were performing I was really shocked and happy because it was so entertaining to watch. Mana & Rudy was the funniest people on the spot because they kept making me laugh. My favourite people from the performances was all of them. My favourite part of the performances was when the 5 people were doing different things at different times. I would love to see them perform again or a different group. I enjoyed so much.
For Maths Today my group started off with hit the button & Prototec because we werent with a teacher. I was playing hit the button with My best friend Ava and we were having a race it was really fun because we were playing very competitive. It was really good because it also helped me learn my times tables and also helped me improve in some times tables that I didnt know. But overall this activity was really good and enjoyable.
This week On Monday Team Tui played maths games such as Bottle flip, Card game, greedy pig & last but not least Blocko. The games were related to maths and we played these games using a paper with tally’s. I will explain one game to you all which was called bottle flip, the rule of the game is to flip the bottle 10 times and write down on your paper with a tally. I enjoyed this game with my friends and I hope to do It again.
Kia Ora everybody ! For maths my group learned more about the difference between Mode, Range, Median & how to calculate the Mode, Range & Median from set of numbers. I’ve learnt a lot of things from this session and I’d be happy to learn more.
What I learnt about Infrences is that when you combine something that you smell with what you see you might know what’s going to happen ??, I didn’t really understand the video but it was interesting to watch.
For Matariki Festival The whole school, Glen Brae, Point England & Glendowie Primary came to our school to celebrate Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori Language Week. Something I was looking forwards to was performing because I enjoy performing in front of people and doing Kapa Haka.
